The starting point

A solid content base whose SEO potential was spread across the store

The store was already visible in Google, but products, categories, manufacturers and articles were not yet working together as one repeatable acquisition system.

  • Jewellery searches combine transactional queries with questions about materials, durability and care.
  • Editorial traffic has greater value when guides connect naturally to categories and products.
  • The key objective was to grow TOP10 visibility and activate more URLs that earn clicks.
  • Systematic revision mattered alongside new publishing—the project was not a blog-only programme.

The repeatable process

Publish new demand-capturing content while strengthening commercial pages

The work combined helpful content for early-stage searches with revisions closer to purchase intent.

  • 142 articles covering educational, styling, seasonal and buying topics,
  • 57 product revisions aligned with transactional intent,
  • 15 category revisions supporting high-value and long-tail searches,
  • 9 manufacturer revisions improving branded and product visibility.

The two layers reinforced each other: guides expanded discoverability, while product and category pages gave visitors a clear path from question to purchase.

Scale of delivery

  • New articles: 142 publications
  • Published revisions: 57 products, 15 categories, 9 manufacturers
  • Update events: 926 product, 87 category and 17 manufacturer updates

Content captured questions that appear before a shopper chooses a product

Jewellery shoppers often begin with material, care, allergy, styling or gift questions. The editorial plan connected those questions to commercially relevant pages.

1. Materials and trust

Example: What is 316L surgical steel and why is it used in jewellery? ↗

Articles about surgical steel, 316L, sterling silver, gold plating, allergies and durability address objections before purchase and build trust in the material.

2. Styling and occasions

Ideas for summer outfits, brooches, bracelets, everyday jewellery and gifts capture inspiration-led searches and create a natural route to relevant product categories.

3. Symbolism and practical guides

Guides about rings, wedding bands, fingers, brooches and jewellery meanings answer long-tail questions that can introduce the store before a visitor has selected an item.

The result after 86 days

A wider search footprint, substantially stronger TOP10 visibility and more URLs earning traffic

The store nearly doubled its TOP10 keyword count while clicks grew by 24.5% and average position improved despite a 42.77% increase in impressions.

Why a lower CTR can still accompany a strong SEO result

CTR 0.85% → 0.74%

Clicks +24.50%

Position 12.60 → 12.09

The store began appearing for many more searches, including queries whose rankings were still developing. CTR fell as reach expanded, but clicks, TOP10 keywords and average position all improved—so the additional visibility translated into real traffic.

What comes next

Convert the wider footprint into even more clicks and commercial journeys

The next phase focuses on improving snippets, moving near-page-one queries upward and connecting educational visibility more directly with products.

1. Recover CTR where impressions already exist

Improve titles and meta descriptions for articles and categories with high visibility but below-potential click-through rates.

2. Move TOP11–20 opportunities into TOP10

Use focused revisions and internal links from guides to strengthen queries already close to the first page.

3. Expand proven topic clusters

Continue clusters around surgical steel versus silver, allergies, plating, care, gifts, summer jewellery and occasion-led searches.

4. Strengthen the content-to-commerce path

Give every relevant guide a clear route to specific categories or products so editorial traffic also supports conversion.
